My wife is working next Saturday and is only of next Sunday. Because of that I'd like to try to reschedule the next game for sometime on Saturday, September the 14th if that's possible.
Don't know what anyone else's schedule looks like, but I'm good for really anytime Saturday afternoon till about 6pm or so.
If it's possible, I'd like to play sometime between say 12pm and 6pm. Yes that means that if we play then, I can go long. But that's up to you all.
I hope Saturday works out, cause otherwise I'm looking to have to cancel next Sunday.
I could possibly also play Friday night if it's after say 7pm or so up until maybe 11pm.
Let me know what you all think.

sounds like a good idea Saturday sounds good as it gives us longer session time we could get a-lot of things done.

Well the issue is... On Friday I play my in person game of 3.5, I'm DMing and we usually run late.
That Saturday I'll be driving for around an hour to another state, not really at home at that time. I MIGHT be able to do 2-6PM on Saturday if I get up "early" and do the driving, then arrive at the place in question go anti-social sit down and play some 3.5.
Another possibility would be having Spud(Gustav) take over for me for an hour or two, and then I can jump in and catch up on what's been going on. I assume it's mostly going to be dungeon delving. He can also RP for me, I'm pretty confident on that.
So you could very well do 12-6. Also kind of need to see what Gustav's plan is as this could very well effect things.

Sadly bossman, Saturday isn't going to work for me. I've been conscripted to build a privacy fence across the front yard of the house, on account of I'm the only person that knows how to use the tools correctly/gives enough of a shit to research fence construction and do it.

Well if Spud can't show up... then I probably won't rush tomorrow. We might just have to push it off, I might be able to do something Sunday if people are actually able... but saturday doesn't look good. Sorry.

Thats fine, if you can't make it, you can't make it....no worries. We can always play another time. That said, my training at work is nearly over and I'll be starting a new shift in a few weeks time. In about 2 or 3 more weeks (I forget which) I'll be working on Sunday's and will only have Fridays and Saturdays off. When that happens, obviously we'll have to reschedule the game. So I'd like to go ahead and see if either of those 2 days would work for anyone.
One of the days I work "may" be OK provided that we start play at like 7pm (EST) and play till 11pm or so as well. But if its a Friday or Saturday I'm good for whenever.

Saturday later at night should work fine for me. EArlier in the day I am actually unconscious from a late night of D&D... So when do we want the next session to be? Saturday 7PM?

The question of Saturday's only applies once I start working the Sunday to Thursday shift at work, which will be next week. Sucks because next weekend I'll only have 1 day off because of it. I'm off today (Sunday the 22nd) and work Monday to Friday, then I have Saturday the 28th off, then I go back to work on Sunday the 29th and then begin having Fridays and Saturdays off. So today (Sunday the 22nd) will be the last day I'm able to play on Sunday's. After today we'll need to reschedule games for either Fridays or Saturdays. Again however, any day OTHER THAN the days I'm off "could" also work as long as we didn't start till say 7pm or 8pm (EST) and stopped by say midnight or so (again EST).
As for the "next" session, I'm OK to play today at noon as previously scheduled if people are OK with it. Otherwise we can play whenever, so long as they get around my restrictions as listed above.
I'll go ahead and start the server at noon (EST) today as planned. If people show up, we'll play, if not, we'll reschedule. See ya when I see ya.

Oh random thought. Because of where we left off we'd be in a pretty good position to run into some other adventurers who might want to deal with the undead too. Just sitting in the doorway resting. Like some holy clerics looking to deal with the undead or something. Just an example.
If you want I could look into recruiting new players. Find some people, if we can keep them in for a session or two it should be enough to finish the tombs(?). Mostly if things get much more dangerous our group could be in trouble. We can take down one or two just fine but a large group... well that could kill us.

Do we want to try for Wednesday or Thursday? ....and if so do we want to do it this week? As it stands now, Saturday's are out for me as it is now the only day my wife and I have off together. Friday's (after this week) could work for just about any time afternoon. Other than that, the only times I can play are after 7pm or so.....more like 8pm really since after this week I will be working till 6:30, then I have a 30 minute drive home. It will take me at least a half hour to get my house in order before starting. So realistically we're looking at Monday thru Friday from 8pm till about midnight or so (EST). We left off at a particularly good spot last game, everyone (except Lantis) having hit 2nd level and getting a Extended Rest in order to heal all your hit points (if not wounds). So yes, it may stretch the imagination a bit, but now is as good a time to introduce new players as we're likely to get for this particular adventure, unless the party wants to travel back to Cumbrae for reinforcements that is. I'd like to recruit at LEAST one more player, preferably three more. But these players need to be reliable and they need to be OK with this particular style of game. Many player's (in my experience) just don't want to role-play and quite frankly are incapable of creating any sort of interesting character, only stat builds. So if its a choice of accepting sub-standard players versus nobody, I'd rather nobody. But if we could get a few more like minded player's, that would be great. Its just a daunting task is all. So if you think you know some people that fit these criteria, please ask them to submit a character (again, not a build) and we'll see if it goes anywhere. |

Lets be honest. Gustav isn't going to allow a retreat, hell Gavin would be wary about it. Last time they went trekking across the land on the way here two people vanished. So if they're going to show up THIS adventure it's probably going to be at the door.
A for play times me and Spud are busy on Fridays... So we're looking at a day Mon-Thurs, 8-12 PM. I'll attempt to look around and find someone probably on Fantasy Grounds because there are some decent players on there (I was on there). Make sure it's known that RP is a major focus. I'll get us a good search going.

Thanks for putting up the post on the FG2 forums....its great. Makes my job easier and I greatly appreciate it. Hopefully we'll get some dedicated players from it. Already had some promising results.
Just so you know, I did not forget about the B plots, its just where we are currently located and with whats currently going on, its difficult to fit a B plot into the game just yet. They tend to happen only in civilized areas for obvious reasons. So once the party emerges from the Catacombs of Kethmere Field, the B plots will start to trickle in.
As for the game itself, if everyone is OK with it, I'd like to schedule the next game for Thursday, October 3rd at 8pm till midnight (all times EST of coarse). That day seems perfect for me as I'm off the following day, so if it goes long I won't have to go to work tired the next day, and my wife is at work herself during those hours, so I won't feel rushed to finish the game like I have before every time 4pm rolled around.
I'd really like to play tonight (Thursday, September 26th) but my schedule has not yet changed so I still have to be at work at 8am tomorrow, so it won't work just yet.
Let me know if this time and date works for you all, if not we'll find another time.

Yeah no problem, we needed to find more players and I figure there was a fairly low chance of the old thread doing it as well anymore. What we needed was a current update on things.
Also that sounds like a pretty decent time to play for me. We might even be able to get another player or two in that time.

Perfect. Also, I spoke with Lantis and he assures me that he'll make the next game. He said the posts about whether or not we were playing last Sunday confused him and he thought we were not playing. That's my fault, so I'll try to be more clear on it from now on. Maybe I'll post a sticky with the next time posted on it in this forum.
I'm trying to move away from the FG2 forums though as its gets tedious moving back and forth between sites, so I likely won't update the game calender on there.
