Sorry for the abrupt log off again last session. But I got into the game and was not paying attention to the clock once again. I need to set a timer or something to remind me. Anyway, once more I enjoyed the game and look forward to playing once again. As I have said previously, I just started a new job today and my schedule will change eventually. But I'm in training for the next 5 weeks yet and my schedule "should" allow me to have Saturday's & Sunday's off still until that time.
As to time management goes, I will likely assume that all battles will take at least an hour and will from now on not even attempt to start one unless we have at least that much time remaining to us. Also, I'd like to begin wrapping up the session about 3:30pm (EDT) or so to make certain that I don't go over again.
From time to time, schedules permitting, maybe we can schedule special sessions on different days and go long or start early other days to allow more play time.
On a related note, I'd like to ask everyone how they think the game is going so far. Do you think were spending too much time on role-playing and not enough on game advancement? Or do you perhaps think the exact opposite?
If its the former, maybe there are things we can do to speed up play somewhat. For example, maybe we could have pre-typed descriptions for character attacks and just drag or copy/paste those into the chat window whenever we make attacks to speed up combat a bit. I'm not sure how well that will work for me since I'm running literally every character in the game except the PC's, but it may work wonders for you all. Let me know what you think.
I will start making more use of this forum that Dr. Babylon has provided for us and making less use of the FG2 forums. But if there is anything important about the game that needs to be seen, I will likely still post both here, and the Game Calender link in the FG2 website. I am likely going to stop making use of the "Gaugeing Interest In....." forum post altogether however.
If anyone needs to reach me, you can still message me on the FG2 messaging board, or you can simply e-mail me at "my user name at gmail dot com". I didn't type it out properly to hopefully prevent spam bots from reading it. But you know my user name and you can read the rest, so just turn it into a proper e-mail address and drop me a line. I check my gmail address regularly.
