Just wanted to take a moment and say that I really appreciate how much effort everyone seems to be placing into the role-playing aspect of this game. Even during the mindless dungeon crawl that we have going on now, the best part is the interaction between the characters. As I said last night, I fully expect the next session to be an end to the adventure, one way or another. Especially since we used up the first entire hour last night just getting the party together in the first place, which is always the hardest part. Thats done now, so I expect the next game to run quite a deal smoother than last night.
That said, I feel a bit worried for you all....I don't believe in pulling punches when I run a game. The risk it what makes it entertaining I think. But I feel the need to point out that Gustav is severly wounded and Lantis is practically a walking corpse himself. Despite this, you go on. I realize that some of you are simply playing your character, which I admire, but that admiration will do you little good when you run out of wound points. Anyway, thats just my two cents and you are free to make whatever decisions you like.....I just hope your making wise ones......just saying.
After this adventure ends, hopefully next session, you can head back to civilization once more and I will start rolling into some B plots. I already have some stuff I'm working on here. Just preparing you for the fact that B plots tend to often be mostly role-play and character interaction. While combat does happen in a B plot from time to time, the main focus on them is always going to be on individual character development and role-play. Those of you that prefer combat scenarios may feel the game has come to a crawl, also given the fact that most B plots tend to focus on one character at a time.
Anyway, loved the role-playing and the game as a whole, despite the rough start and am greatly looking forward to the next game. Hope to see all of you there.
