Making the rounds of everyone she knew from Eliador that might have made it to Cumbrae, she followed word of mouth until she had tracked down Torrance Powells, the proprietor of the Fin & Fleece. The premier and only pub of Eliador.
“Mr Powells,” she said, hugging the older man. “It does my heart good to see a friendly face when such dire fate has befallen our town. I and the men that led ye away are goin’ back again. But we need more than we have. Do ye think there might be somethin’ at the pub that we could use? Even any food that we find would carry us along. Was anything left behind that might aid in our quest to destroy the source of the undead and help me find me Cormac? We could also bring anything special back that ye might have left behind as repayment. What say ye?”
He was the last of the men she knew might have some means to support their return. She hoped that there might be something that he knew of that would turn the tide in their favor.

Torrance embraces Moira heartily and returns your questions with a joyous smile of genuine happiness.
"Aye lass, it does my heart much good ta be see'n ya back from that dark place. Be'n as ye an yer kin lived so far away from the rest o us, I feared ye dead fer sure. Your wee ones were kept safe sure enough. Those stout lads ye been travel'n with have seen ta that. Sad ta say that I already paid em what little coin I can spare, I'll be need'n tha rest ta rebuild a right proper pub in this damnable place. Won't be tha same as the Fin & Fleece to be sure, but in time I'll come ta call it home all tha same."
"As fer some proper supplies, sure enough I left plenty goods there in the pub that I left for fear of it slow'n us down. Did I ever tell ye o my grandfather Torradan? Twas he who built the Fin & Fleece back in tha years just after the war with the Kael. Used to be a mercenary he did. He'd fought to clear the foul monsters from tha ruins of old Illad during tha days o Tha Reclamation. Twas later hired in by tha people o Eliador after the Kael invasion ta help keep order since the High King pulled back his men after having lost so many in the battle of Kethmere Field. He stayed for so long that he grew a lik'n fer tha place, an me gran-ma too most like had more ta do with that choice. Anyway, I still kept all his battle gear from his days as a mercenary. No rear use fer it myself, but my father used to tell me stories grow'n up about his days as a swordsman."
"I still keep his gear in an old oak box atop tha storage bin o my barn, just outside tha Fin & Fleece. The barn, like tha pub was made of good stout river stones, so it likely survived the Kael's return in one piece. If'n ya are hell bent on go'n back to that god's cursed place, then yer welcome to it. There was some weapons and armor in there, likely rusted all ta hell, but still worthy I'd say. If ye can get to it, its yers."

"Whatever state it be in," Moira replied gratefully, "I'll take it. An' don't be plannin' on leavin' Eliador just yet. Once we put a stop to this curse, all may return home after. The land is not lost forever, we'll be goin' back home soon enough."

Torrance gives Moira a look that is both proud and sad and once. He shakes his head negatively and places a hand on each of Moira's shoulders saying, "I can see tha fire in yer eyes lass, I know ye can no stay here. An I know that ye have te go an look fer yer son yet. I'll no stop ye, wouldn't dare. But don't ye dare go off try'n ta save that which can'no be saved. Yer son may yet draw breath, but Eliador was die'n long b'fer the Kael returned from tha dead. They killed near her off at the battle of Kethmere Field all those long years ago, an have only now returned ta finish whats already begun. Most of tha people that made Eliador what she was are no more. Those few of us that survive have already started take'n ta call'n Cumbrae home now, an it will be, in time. So don't ya go risk'n yer life for tha sake of a dead village, no matter how fond tha memories.....ya hear me lass?"

Moira bit back her rebuke of the innkeeper for giving up so easily on Eliador. On her home, where her children were born. But she knew that he was only trying to help and that his words were most likely true. Few would want to return after what had happened. Only she and the others knew that the Kael had not risen for revenge but had risen because of that thing in the catacombs that forced them to rise. They would deal with that and Eliador would be safe once more. But who would believe them? Especially those that had barely survived with their lives. She could not blame them for wanting to start a new life in Cumbrae but she would not give up so easily on the home that she and Greig had made for their children.
“I’ll do what must be done,” she finally said to him resolutely. “The evil that raised the Kael must be stopped and I’m goin’ with ‘em. Ye may be right that Eliador will be no more but my son is still alone out there and I’ll not be leavin’ him without doin’ everything I ken to find him.”
She reached out once more and hugged the man a final time. “Thank ye for yer help and your guidance,” she said, releasing him. “I’ll remember them both.” With that, she turned and left to join up with the others as they prepared to return to Eliador one last time.
