I got a PM from Dr_Babylon and he has said that he is dropping from the game. This is really a blow since the game has not even really gotten off to a real start yet. We originally started at 6 players and are now were down to 3 players it seems. Thats pretty bad considering we're only 2 sessions in. Anyway, despite the loss, I am going to start looking for new players to invite to cover the loss. I'd really like to get six active, reliable role-playing players in total. But in truth I'm not certain it'll be easy to find so many players with all those criteria. I was thinking of inviting some players from past campaigns I've run, but before I go that route, I'd like to try to at least recruit a few over FG2 first. I'll keep you all posted. I sincerely hope this does not spell the beginning of the end of this little venture.

That is really quite unfortunate. Any reasons given why?
Anyways I don't plan to drop out and I'm doubtful Spud does. It might be about time to go back into town and hire a few more people.

I agree, I think I will recruit a few more people that I know personally. I wanted to avoid that because I wanted to go for a different kind of game with this campaign, but I know these people will be reliable at the least. I have 2 other people in mind, but it may take a few days to iron things out. One of my friends is a teacher and only has weekends off. I'm not sure how he would feel about spending one of those 2 days staring over a computer monitor. The other has nothing better to do, ever, and I'm sure he'll be up for a game.
Also, we should all think about back-up options in case a player can't make it one week. Each person should perhaps think about who they would trust to run their character for them if they cannot make it some week. They don't have to role-play for the other person, just roll the dice and make all tactical decisions for them in combat. I only award 1/3 XP for combat encounters, the other 2/3 comes from advancing the game and role-playing; mostly the latter. So players who cannot make it one week will still get the 1/3 combat XP since they are still in danger of dying, but the other 2/3 they will simply miss out on that week.
That said, I hope you all don't kill me for this. But I think I am going to postpone for this week and try to get a few more people on board before making another attempt. I still have to get hold of them and have some back-up options in place in case that don't work. I don't want to post for more people over FG2 just yet until I know I need to fill some more space. As I said before, I'd like to get 6 completely reliable people onboard, but I'll roll with 4 if needed.

Does that mean there's no session today?

Hey DM, on Fantasy Grounds in the main thread there's a guy who looks like he might be interested in joining. You should hop over there and give it a look.
